Sales Preparation
Oaks Farm Stables is set up to prepare horses for yearling, store and breeze up sales with a strong reputation in every field. As a well known consignor, Mark and the yard are in the position to place, prepare and market horses at sales across the world to a global industry.
Consigning Yearlings and Stores
With 50 acres of post and rail paddocks to choose from, yearlings and stores are given the finest opportunity to develop and grow. Years of experience allow each individual's growth and progress to be managed at their optimal rate, providing the greatest chance for correct horses, in excellent condition, to realise their full potential in the sales ring. Horses are able to be quietly introduced to a yard environment, providing great experience for the hustle and bustle of the sales. Fitness and strength is built through the numerous facilities where each can have a varied and individual regime, whilst learning the art of being led and stood up.
Consigning Breeze Ups
Oaks Farm Stables is abundant with the facilities to prepare horses for breeze up sales, with gallops (both grass and synthetic), lunging ring and loose school. With a strong background in racing, training and bringing on racehorses, breeze-up horses are ensured the greatest chance to show themselves at their best.
Breaking and pre-training
Oaks Farm Stables’ purpose built facilities and experienced staff provide the ideal environment for horses to be broken in, start their training career or return into work after a rest.
Breaking
With the lunging ring and loose school, horses can be started off in a safe environment. There is ample secure acreage where young horses can be long reined and ridden away by experienced staff.
Pre-Training
Oaks Farm Stables can be an excellent choice for horses coming back into work or starting for the first time. The horse-walker and variety of gallops, alongside the expertise available, can get a horse within a few weeks of race-fitness. It can be the ideal solution for horses that enjoy a quieter environment or a different routine to the one found in racing stables.
